Why to Hire an Investigator For Your Business

If you are an owner or manager of a business, you know the amount of work it takes to run day-to-day operations. The last thing you need are employees stealing from the company or creating circumstances in which there is an environment of hostility, discrimination or harassment.

The following are some reasons why you should use a Private Investigator to work with you and your organization:

  • To develop a Background Check program, to check the criminal history of prospective employees.

  • Assist in the interviewing process. Investigators are trained to ask interview questions in a way that the applicant will express how he or she behaviorally will handle work situations.

  • Investigate Employee Theft Allegations-Investigators have the tools to do appropriate surveillance, conduct investigative interviews and complete a thorough fact-finding report for management.

  • Investigate allegations of harassment, discrimination and/or a hostile work environment. Many companies do not have a Human Resources Department or Investigators on their staff. Due to the sensitivity of these allegations, it is wise to hire someone who is objective (3rd party) who has no connection to the parties and will conduct a true fact-finding investigation to present to management.

  • Conduct Workman's Compensation Investigations. Has an employee claimed a workplace injury, but you have concerns that he or she was less than truthful in their claim? A Private Investigator will conduct the necessary investigation to determine whether the employee is truly injured as a result of the reported incident.

  • Train management on how to appropriately document information on problem employees. Many issues result in terminating bad employees due to the lack of documentation and evidence.

  • Work with management to develop proactive measures to assist in preventing incidents of concern within the organization.

  • Conduct Security Audits. Security Consultants will do top-down reviews of security measures to make sure you have appropriate measures in place to keep you and your employees safe.
